The Basics Of Getting Money Online

A lot of people are joining the online money making bandwagon. They are constantly looking for different methods of making some extra cash on the internet and they are completely unaware of the fact that they will never make a decent living doing what they do. Jumping from different get rich scheme week after week will only make them spend the money they earned on the next program they decide to hop on to. That will never produce them any real income but will just support their new fun hobby of “making money online”.

How can you really get money now from the internet

Joining every program that the PPC advertisers are shoving on your face is possibly not the best available way to get money for your rent or for any other reason what so ever. If you want to get long term income on the internet then you need to be doing some long term work. When I say work I don’t mean physical labour that will exhaust you, but continuous staring at your computer screen researching and writing and researching and writing. If you need that cash fast then the amount of work that you have to put in to your efforts will eventually physically drain you and you will be left with total loss of energy.

Enough with how hard it is going to be, and let’s get to the basics of getting money online. To start with you are going to have to know a few things. How can you build yourself a blog, and how to write with seo in mind. There are enough tutorials in starting your own blog and that is why I am not going to start copying each one of them by starting my own. The basics don’t change and if you want to find out more about starting your own website I suggest that you google something like “how to start a niche blog” and start reading. The way you start your blog is actually not that important since you are not likely to get everything right the first place. Your keyword selection will suck since there is no perfect method for choosing keywords, your seo writing will suck since you don’t know it yet. Most likely you are not going to be able to pick a niche that is profitable in any way since you have no experience and  you are likely going to just pick something that you lke and know. It is a good way to start  but as most have realised the most profitable niches are the ones that you least exept, and you basically write differently when you hate the subject. You make the reader want to click on the ads to get away from your website and you will get money when they convert to sales on the advertisers webpage.

There is no sure way of picking out keywords and just like Grizzly – who is the master of making money – you can’t really trust the eastimation tools. So I recommend to stay away from every possible keyword estimation tool that will cost you money. If you see an ad and a whole lot of testimonials like “using this keyword tool I finally found the buying keywords that made me rich” – run away it’s a scam. The best thing that you can do is start trying out the Google’s free keyword tool which can be found using the search engine. Just remember to set the results to be shown as exact matches instead of broad; that way you won’t be getting the results that correlate to the amount of searches as each possible variation of this keyword is getting, but the exact ESTIMATED amount that that phrase is searched. Then set the search countries to be all and language your preferred language. Also you can hide all other functions than then average CPC and the global results.

I would not recommed targeting any keyword which has below 1000 searches a month according to that tool since you will most likely not be getting a lot of money with less than that. Also you need to be sure that the CPC is above $2. Not that you could not get clicks with lower CPC but it seems that the higher the cost the higher the CTR. You can target a word which has less than 1000 searches if it has a lot of variations listed with a lot of searches (remember that if you find a long tail version of a keyword which has .05 dollar CPC you can target it if the short tail version has a high CPC. You will get paid depending on the short tail cost, but the CPC is so low because no advertiser is actually targeting that particular set of words)… Just like a longer tail version where the last word just changes: targeting all these one at the time you will be able to get a huge amount of visitors. That is why you should try learn how to get an estimate of the niche; how much you can get money now from that niche if you are able to get properly ranked for each one of the keywords. Using this free tool you can be able to get free money, that is if you don’t count time spent as money spent. Remember that this method is to be used with Adsense only, if you are willing to start using some other form of monetization then you should basically ignore the CPC since that only applies to the ad program by the G. But I recommend starting out with this since you need to develop a gut feeling to get started with other ways like eBay and Chitika.

Another thing that is good to remember when it comes to choosing your keywords is to put in buying keywords. These are such as “cheap, affordable, second hand, used, low cost” and so on. This means that people who use those words in their searches are actually using the search engines to find products or services that they can BUY. That is by far the biggest mistake that you can do when trying to get money now; choose keywords that have absolutely no way anyone searching with would click on your ads. If you are targeting something that anyone can get for free anywhere and they are actually just looking for information on that particular subject, you are not going to get clicks. This is why the long tail versions of keywords have much higher click through rate especially if they are using the buying keywords.

You are going to need to do some evaluation of your competition to see if the kw is worth building a website around. Search for your kw and then copy the url of the website that is listed the first. Then go to linkdiagnosis.com and insert it there. You should make sure that you have their plugin installed to be able to completely use that service so do that before you actually use it. When you do here are a few tips you can use when deciding wether the competition is too high. Looking at the backlinks that the website has you should keep your attention in the anchors that those links have. If your main keyword is used more than 25 times I suggest that you lay it for a while and start off with something easier to be able to see the results.  If the total number of links is beyond 500 then you should also think about it again, but only if these links are not with the url and don’t have some unrelated term. Normally with this many links most of them are going to be from PR N/A and 1 and that is something that you should not worry about. If they have a lot of PR 4 and beyond links, then you should basically fold and try again with another keyword.

How To Write To Get Money

The second thing that you will have to do when you are starting your website is to write content on it. I personally think that the more the better, but you can usually start with five pages filled with articles that are about three to six hundred words long. Remember that the longer articles the more traffic you are going to be able to pull in. Write these five pages the very first day you create that site, since you like it to have a good amount of content when it gets indexed, and that will happen in a few days if you follow some simple steps that will follow.

So you are done with choosing that keyword that you are going to target and the next thing to do is to actually try to write some content about it. I am hoping that you picked on that you hate, because you should get used to write about boring stuff at the moment you start writing to get used to the most suffocating side of getting money on the internet. Use related keywords in the titles of your posts so that you don’t get flagged as a spam blog for having your keyword repeated everywhere on the page. If you can’t come up with related keywords then use the wonder wheel tool by google which can be found when you type your words in the search and click the options button that appears on the left hand side of the page. The next thing to do is to start pushing words out through the keyboard. You need to make sure that the bots know that you are writing about your niche, so you should repeat long tail versions of your chosen kw once about every hundred words. If you write longer posts that are over 1000 words, you can get away with less, and with more, because in either case you won’t look like you are spamming, and the main words will be repeated enough to make it clear what you are discussing. You have to make it natural when you insert your kw because you need to have a high quality content site to be able to get natural backlinks from other websites.

Once you have completed those five articles wait a few days and keep on writing more content. When you have ten pages preferrably all over thousand words you are almost complete with your site and ready to get money.

How to get indexed

As ridiculous it sounds people are constantly having problems getting indexed. I have even heard of people who have been waiting months for their website to appear on google, and I personally have had all my sites there in three,  four days. Many of them are indexed during the same day and some in two days, but the magic lies in the backlinks. When you want to get your site as fast as possible in the search engines you need to do a little promotion. The day you wrote your five articles you should also write five hubs to hubpages.com which all have a link pointing to your website using different long tail version of your kw. That way you are going to get indexed lightning fast, but only if your profile there already has dofollow (over 75 points).

The other way to go is to go over to ezinearticles.com and write five articles with the same type of links in the author resource box. They will take their time to get reviewed and then published but those links carry juice – which means that Google appreciates them and the will help you get ranked higher in their results. Once you can find yourself from the google by searching your website url you should stop adding any content that will bring you links. So if you have been writing hubs, then stop, and if you are publishing promotinal articles then stop doing that. You need to start adding content. At this point you should make your first monster post. Gather up all your power to write one ridiculously long post about your subject (+2000 words) with all the possible varioations and long tails that you can think of. The next thing you should do is to add statcounter on your site. It can be easily found from statcounter.com and there are nice tutorials that help you get set up and learn how to get money now.

The idea of this mega long article is to give the search engines a lot of words to get you ranked for. Once you start seeing traffic you can observe (from stat counters recent keyword activity menu) which words they are using to find your website. Because of that long post there are going to be a lot of words for the spiders to use and to get you ranked for all the possible long tails; people are using so wierd words in the search engines that no-one could come up with these themselves. You need to use this method to find out yourself. After a few weeks of being indexed you can start adding more hubs and ezines and even infobarrels using different types of anchors. It is going to be a lot of work to be writing these articles for all the possible services but it has to be done. If you want to get money now then that is what you need to be doing. Try not do more than one per day, that way your  link  building will not be too spammy and you will stay indexed.  When you have five ezines, hubs, infobarrels, squidoo lenses and GoArticles ready you can take a week off. That way you are making sure that all those links are indexed before you start doing anything more. If you are eager to work you can do two things: start the whole thing from scratch with another website, or start pointing ezinearticles to your hubs, infobarrels, squidoos… When you have five of those pointing at each one of those you can call it some strong backlinking.

After this you are going to keep on adding content. When you are looking at your stats you can easily see those keywords that have been used the most to find your webpage. Write them all down and write a new long ass post with all of these included plus more.

Getting Money

You need to get some more links before you get money and that is where e-mailing comes in. Send e-mail to all the website owners that rank in the first five pages of your kw search asking for them to take a look at your website since you are webmasters at the same niche. If they like your site they will most likely give you a link, and that is what is called natural linking. That is absolutely the most secure way of getting links and you should not involve yourself in any of those link trading schemes which will most likely get you banned from the search engines. If you want to get money now and long term you need to learh how to write content that will not only attract the visitors but also attract people in to linking to your site with the proper anchor. That is why your URL and site name should contain your keywords since many people use these as anchors. For those people who use “click here” you can’t do anything, they just are simple and stupid and don’t know anything about linking. The anchors will be what tell the search engines what your website is valued for, and that is why it is imporant for them to be correct and related to your content.

How long will it take for this to take affect and get you money now

There is no real answer to that one since all niches will behave differently. You should not add ads on your site before you are actually starting to see real traffic about 50 unique hits per day. Anything else will be a waste of CTR. If you are not yet getting traffic then start searching for related keywords and send the top 50 websites e-mail asking for them to take a look at your site. Remember that people looking at your site this way don’t count as traffic. Only count people who come from the search engines as traffic that can get you money fast.
